What a Wheel & Wine evening looks like
Wheel & Wine is a two-hour, one-night pottery class for adults in Dania Beach, five minutes from Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport. You bring the wine, we bring the clay. An instructor walks you through centering, opening, and pulling a wall on the wheel, and you leave having made something with your own hands.
What Wheel & Wine costs
The class is $65 per person. That covers your seat at a wheel, hands-on instruction, all the clay you use, both firings, and a house glaze finish. The only extra is the booking fee added at checkout, plus Paint Your Own Pottery if you want it — an optional $19 add-on you can choose when you book through Peek (Eventbrite tickets can’t include it) or pick up during the class. Bring your own bottle and a glass; we will take care of the rest.
When it runs
Wheel & Wine usually runs on Friday evenings, but how many dates go up in a given month changes with the season and with instructor availability. A month with no date on the calendar does not mean the class has gone away — call and we will tell you when it is next running. The studio calendar always shows what is actually open, and every class must be booked ahead of time. We do not take drop-ins, because each seat is a wheel that has to be set up for you.
A good night out, and a good first class
This is the class people book for a date night, a birthday, or a night out with a few friends. If you would rather work with a brush than a wheel, Sip-n-Spin covers the same idea with a different medium. If you find you want to keep going after one evening, the beginner wheel class is the natural next step.
What to wear
Wear something you would not mind getting clay on, and keep your nails short if you can. Clay washes out of most fabric, but it does not do you any favors. We provide aprons, tools, and everything else.
When your pottery comes back
What you throw on the wheel has to dry, then be fired, then glazed, then fired again. We handle all of it here in the studio and let you know when your piece is ready to pick up.
A note on vouchers and coupons
Wheel & Wine is not eligible for vouchers or coupons. It is already priced as a single-evening class, and the seat includes materials and firing. Please also drink responsibly. Participants must be 13 or older — not because of the wine, but because younger students cannot reach the wheel pedals well enough to control the wheel. We run a separate kids class for them.
Private groups and parties
If you have a group and want the studio to yourselves, we host private events for birthdays, bachelorette parties, and company outings. Sunday and Monday are the easiest days to book a private group, since Friday and Saturday evenings are usually full with public classes.
