This popular event is perfect for couples or groups, so be sure to book early as spots fill quickly!
Beginners and those needing a refresher will learn the basics of wheel throwing: centering clay, using tools, and shaping simple forms. Clay, firings, and a house glaze finish are included. Please wear comfortable clothing.

Adults only: participants must be 13 or older. Separate classes are available for younger students to ensure the best experience for everyone.
What a Sip-n-Spin evening looks like
Sip-n-Spin is our Saturday evening pottery class in Dania Beach, a single two-hour session on the wheel with a drink in reach. The studio pours some wine on Saturday nights, and you are welcome to bring your own bottle as well. We supply the wheel, the clay, the tools, and an instructor who stays with you through the whole thing. No experience needed, and most people in the room have never touched a wheel before. The class is for ages 13 and up — not because of the wine, but because younger students cannot reach the wheel pedals well enough to control the wheel. We run a separate kids class for them.
What Sip-n-Spin costs
The class is $79 per person. That covers your wheel, hands-on instruction, all the clay you use, both firings, and a house glaze finish. The only extra is the booking fee added at checkout. If you want to keep going, Paint Your Own Pottery is an optional $19 add-on: add it when you book through Peek (Eventbrite tickets can’t include it) or pick it up during the class.
When it runs
Sip-n-Spin usually runs on Saturday evenings, and it is the one that fills first. Seats have to be reserved ahead of time; we do not take drop-ins, because every seat is a wheel that gets set up for a specific person. How often it runs shifts with the season and with instructor availability — busy season carries more dates than the quiet months — so if you do not see a date that suits you, call and ask when it is next scheduled. The studio calendar shows which Saturdays are still open.
Good for couples, groups, and celebrations
This is a popular date night and an easy group booking for a birthday or a night out with friends. If you would rather paint than throw, the canvas and wine class covers the same evening with a brush instead. If one night on the wheel makes you want more, the beginner wheel class is the next step up.
What to wear
Wear clothes you would not mind getting clay on, and keep your nails short if you can. Aprons, tools, and everything else are provided.
When your pottery comes back
Wet clay has to dry, get fired, get glazed, and get fired again. All of that happens here in the studio, and we let you know when your piece is ready to pick up.

Private groups and parties
If you want the studio to yourselves, we host private events for birthdays, bachelorette parties, and company outings. Sunday and Monday are the easiest days to book a private group, since Friday and Saturday evenings are usually taken by public classes like this one.
