Mosaic Class in Dania Beach

The Mosaic class will teach glass cutting and design placement and includes the grouting of your pieces. All materials are included. Students leave the class with their very own, unique mosaic project to display or use.

Super fun and unique class that lets you come away with a colorful mosaic project at the end of the class. This is a great class for a Ladies Night Out, Date Night, Birthday activity, Night away from the Kids, and more. $65 per person · All materials included · No experience needed.

What happens in a mosaic class

An instructor shows you how to cut glass safely, then helps you lay out a design on your base and grout it once the pieces are set. You choose from a range of bases and a full palette of glass and tile. No experience is needed, and nobody is left staring at a blank board — if you are stuck for an idea the instructor will help you find one.

You take your piece home the same day

This is the real difference between mosaic and our pottery classes. Clay has to dry, be bisque fired, glazed and fired again, which takes about 30 days. A mosaic is grouted during the session and leaves with you that evening, finished. If you want to make something and hold it the same day, this is the class.

What it costs and what is included

$65 per person for a two-hour class. The base, all the glass and tile, the tools, the adhesive and the grout are included. There is nothing else to buy.

When it runs

Sunday afternoons and Tuesday evenings. The booking calendar is the reliable source, because the schedule moves with instructor availability — check the dates there before you plan around it. Every class is booked in advance and we do not take drop-ins.

Who it suits

Mosaic is one of our most popular classes for a ladies night out, a date night, a birthday activity or an evening away from the kids. It works well for groups because everyone works at their own pace around a shared table, and it suits people who feel nervous about the pottery wheel, since there is no equipment to wrestle with.

What to wear

Wear something you do not mind getting grout on. Aprons are provided. Closed shoes make sense around cut glass, and short nails make the grouting easier.

Private mosaic parties

We also run mosaic as a private party for birthdays, bridal groups and corporate teams, from $69 a guest. Sunday and Monday are the easiest days to book one.
