Brush and Sip: an Art and Wine Paint Along
What a Brush and Sip evening looks like
Brush and Sip is a guided paint-along at Gasper Arts Center in Dania Beach. An instructor takes the whole room through one painting, step by step, so nobody sits in front of a blank canvas wondering where to start. Everyone paints the same subject, and every canvas still comes out looking like the person who painted it. You take yours home the same night.
No experience needed
Most people who book this have not painted since school, and that is exactly who it is built for. You do not need to know how to draw. The instructor breaks the painting into layers and works at the pace of the room, and there is always someone circulating to help if your sky is not cooperating.
What is included
Canvas, easel, paints, brushes and an apron are set up at your seat before you arrive. All art supplies are included, so there is nothing to bring except something to drink.
Bring your own bottle
Brush and Sip is BYOB. Bring wine, beer or whatever you like, and a glass if you want one. Please drink responsibly.
October dates and times
Brush and Sip runs every Friday and Saturday evening in October. Tickets are $35, and Eventbrite adds its fees at checkout.
Fridays, 6:30 to 9:00 PM — October 2, 9, 16, 23 and 30
Saturdays, 6:30 to 9:30 PM — October 3, 10, 17, 24 and 31
Seats are booked ahead of time. We do not take walk-ins, because each easel is set up for a specific person.

How it compares to our other evenings
Brush and Sip is the fixed-schedule version of what we do at Creative Sips: Wine and Canvas — same easels, same instructor-led format, but on a set October calendar you can plan around. If your group would rather work in clay, Sip & Spin does the same evening on the pottery wheel, and Wheel & Wine is the BYOB version of that.
A good group night out
This is an easy one for a date, a birthday, a girls' night or a small work group. If you want the room to yourselves on another evening, we can run a paint-along as a private event; Sunday and Monday are the easiest days to book a private group, since Friday and Saturday evenings usually belong to public classes.
What to wear
Acrylic paint does not always come out of fabric, so wear something you would not mind marking up. We hand out aprons, but they only cover so much.
