Creative Sips: Wine and Canvas
Unwind, sip, and create! Join us for an instructor-led, beginner-friendly paint-along class where you’ll complete your own canvas masterpiece step-by-step. No experience needed — we’ll guide you through the entire painting while you relax and enjoy the studio atmosphere.
Bring your favorite wine or beverage (BYOB) and get ready for a fun, social, and creative night out! All art supplies are included.
An instructor leads the whole room through one painting, step by step, so nobody is left staring at a blank canvas. Everyone paints the same subject and everyone’s comes out different. No drawing experience needed.
Canvas, easel, paints, brushes and an apron are set up before you arrive. It runs in the same Dania Beach studio as our pottery classes, 15 minutes from Fort Lauderdale. Check the calendar for upcoming dates, or call 954-656-3560.
What a Creative Sips night looks like
Creative Sips is our wine and canvas painting class in Dania Beach. An instructor leads the whole room through one painting, step by step, so nobody sits in front of a blank canvas wondering where to start. Everyone works on the same subject, and every canvas comes out looking like the person who painted it. It runs about two hours, and you take your painting home the same night.
No experience needed
Most people who book this have not painted since school, and that is exactly who the class is built for. You do not need to know how to draw. The instructor breaks the painting into layers and works at the pace of the room, and there is always someone circulating to help if your sky is not cooperating.
What is included
Canvas, easel, paints, brushes, and an apron are set up at your seat before you arrive. All art supplies are included, so there is nothing to bring except a beverage.
Bring your own bottle
Creative Sips is BYOB. Bring wine, beer, or whatever you like to drink, and a glass if you want one. Please drink responsibly.
When it runs
Dates for Creative Sips move around depending on the instructor and the painting, so the studio calendar is the place to check what is coming up. Seats have to be booked ahead of time; we do not take walk-ins, since each easel is set up for a specific person.
On this October: Brush and Sip, our BYOB guided paint-along, runs every Friday and Saturday evening on a fixed October schedule at $35 a seat. It is the same easel-and-instructor format as Creative Sips.
A good group night out
This is an easy one for a date, a birthday, a girls' night, or a small work group. If your group would rather work in clay, Sip & Spin does the same evening on the pottery wheel, and Wheel & Wine is the BYOB version of that.
Private groups
If you want the room to yourselves, we can run Creative Sips as a private event for a birthday, a bachelorette party, or a company outing. Sunday and Monday are the easiest days to book a private group, since Friday and Saturday evenings usually belong to public classes.
What to wear
Acrylic paint does not always come out of fabric, so wear something you would not mind marking up. We hand out aprons, but they only cover so much.
