Joely Ramo
Joely Ramo (b. 2002) is a Jewish Cuban artist raised in South Florida. She is guided by her practice of Kabbalah and Buddhism.
Joely received her diploma from NOVA Southeastern and their Bachelors in Fine Art with a minor in Printmaking and Critical theory from Maryland Institute College of Art. Joely continues her artist practice outside of her education- going on to be published in art magazines across the world, exhibited in galleries online and in-person across the United States, and showcases her artwork at various events as an art vendor. She also works full time as a creative specialist for a digital marketing company in Las Olas.
The mediums that Joely focuses on most is collage and printmaking. She is fascinated with the effort of putting the world back together, utilizing divided parts into one collective piece. As well as, the physical act of carving intricate details into wood to create art that challenges the viewer to see past the illusion of the line work.
Joely notices that a maximalist approach fully allows for the controlled chaos that is here and now.
