Now showing: Hispanic Heritage Month

Submissions for our Hispanic Heritage Month exhibition are closed. The show opens with a reception on Friday, September 11, from 7 to 10 PM at the gallery, 250 S. Federal Highway in Dania Beach. Everyone is welcome, and the artists will be there. The reception is free and open to the public, and so is every monthly opening: our shows usually open on a Friday evening, 7 to 10 PM.

How our calls for art work

Gasper Arts Center runs one gallery show a month. Most are juried and carry a $25 application fee, paid through the link in that call’s online application form. Two months a year are artists-in-residence shows with no entry fee.

Each call lists its own theme, deadline and drop-off dates, and each has its own online application form. The form asks for everything the jurors need and includes the link to pay the application fee, so please apply through the form; we can’t accept submissions by email. We are open to all mediums, including painting, drawing, sculpture, photography, digital art and mixed media.

Open calls appear at the top of this page and in the announcement bar on every page of the site. The current one is The Dark Within, a Halloween-inspired exhibition juried by Boca Raton artist Ashley Starnes. Submissions close Thursday, September 24 at 11:59 PM and the show opens Friday, October 9. Apply through the online application form.
