Holiday Parties Near Fort Lauderdale

Skip the restaurant back room this year. Gasper Arts Center, a three-time Best of Florida Award winner, is a working ceramics studio and gallery in Dania Beach, two miles from the Fort Lauderdale airport and a short drive from Hollywood, Hallandale Beach and Davie. We host office holiday parties, family get-togethers and friends' nights out, and everyone goes home with something they made.

One instructor for every 10 guests

Every party here starts with a real art class. We keep at least one instructor for every ten guests, so everyone gets hands-on help and goes home with something they are proud of. That attention to teaching is a big reason Gasper Arts Center has won the Best of Florida Award three years running, in 2024, 2025 and 2026.

Then the party keeps going. Stay for up to an hour after the class to eat, drink and celebrate. The studio and the adjoining art gallery hold up to 20 guests, with chairs and tables, and the gallery gives the room a festive feel that no restaurant back room can match.

Who books a holiday party here

Office and team holiday parties, client appreciation events, family gatherings while relatives are in town, and groups of friends who want something better to do than another dinner. A party of eight works as well here as a party of twenty.

What your group can do

Choose pottery wheel throwing, hand building with clay, mosaics, or a painting party. Sessions run about two to two and a half hours. We have ten pottery wheels, so for groups larger than ten we split the time between the wheels and hand building and rotate, and we assign at least one qualified instructor for every ten guests.

Making gifts? Pick the right project

Paintings and mosaics go home the same day, so they work well if your guests want to give what they make as a holiday gift. Clay pieces have to be fired in our kilns, which takes about 30 days, so pottery made at a December party is ready to collect in the new year.

Bring your own food, drinks and decorations

Bring your own food, drink, music and decorations, and set up your own bar service if you want one. You can arrive early to decorate and stay for an hour after the session ends. Pronto Pizza is next door and does pizza, wings and party platters.

Dates and deposits

The studio is open to the public Tuesday to Saturday, and private parties can also be booked on Sundays and Mondays with advance notice; those are the easiest days to get. Friday evenings, Saturday afternoons and Saturday evenings are our busiest, and booking one of those slots means closing a class that is open to the public, so it takes a deposit and as much notice as you can give. The deposit is about half your estimated headcount (book for fourteen and we invoice seven up front), and the balance is charged on the day for whoever actually comes. The holiday season fills up, so the earlier you ask, the more dates we can offer.

What a holiday party costs

Ceramics parties start at $69 a guest and painting-only parties start at $45 a guest. The final quote depends on the size of the group, the activity and the day. We can invoice companies.
