Jewelry Making For Beginners! Silversmithing a pair of stud earrings

In this workshop, learn how to create 2 pairs of simple and elegant stud earrings. There will be a choice from 4 variations: un-altered wire, square wire twisted, textured wire, and decorative filing. These pieces will be sized according to each participant's preference, for a personal touch. Techniques such as high temperature soldering, wire twisting, stamping designs, simple hammer work, and finishing metal surfaces will be taught. Students will leave with finished stud earrings, ready to wear.

All tools, equipment, and materials used in class will be supplied.

This class is excellent for beginners, no experience is necessary to take the class. And no, you do not have to be an artist to make beautiful jewelry. But who knows, it could kick start a creative side for you or enhance it if you've already got one! .

-Classes are offered to adults aged 18 and older.

Pricing is for a single 2.5 hour class.

-Students should wear closed toe shoes, tie long hair, and refrain from coming in with long nails (keep in mind you’ll be filing, sawing, hammering metal and working with a torch).
-Note: If you regularly wear glasses to magnify small text, please bring them with you, it will help!

Class may be canceled the day before if only one student is registered.

Plan to arrive ten minutes early. We cannot guarantee project completion for late arrivals to the class.
